Memorial featured on Leland Conway show!

The Kentucky Memorial for the Unborn was recently featured on the Leland Conway radio show on WLAP in Lexington!  Leland interviewed Rev Wayne Smith and Memorial Co-Chairman Kathy Rutledge.

Rev Smith emphasied what a blessing the Memorial will be to families mourning the loss of an unborn baby. He spoke of the need for donations to complete the Memorial as soon as possible, so families can have a serene place to honor their children and find closure.

Kathy talked about how the inspiration for the Memorial came from her desire to honor her own unborn baby.  After giving her child a name, she was unable to find a suitable place for a memorial. She prayed for guidance and, with God’s leading, funds were raised and a site in Frankfort Cemetery was purchased.  And now the Memorial will soon be a reality!

The Leland Conway show reaches a wide audience.  We pray that many more people will choose to honor their unborn children in this way and help us raise funds to complete this Memorial.

Who This Memorial is For

Since beginning this project, we’ve had many people order inscriptions to remember their unborn loved ones. These are just a few quotes from some of the individuals who the Kentucky Memorial for the Unborn will help with healing.

We’re interested in honoring a son I miscarried. Thank you for this beautiful monument. We need a place like this to grieve our lost babies.

-. A. M.

I had an unwanted abortion. I would like to honor my child by having their name placed on the wall. The baby’s father and I are together on this. Thank you so much.

- S. V.

I had a tubal pregnancy resulting in the death of my child. I couldn’t have it to bury; I wasn’t far enough along they said.

- T. N.

I was 9 weeks pregnant when I accidentally slipped and fell and lost the baby. I got pregnant and then lost that baby too. My two babies are always with me in my thoughts. Thank you for the KY Memorial for the Unborn.

- D. Y.

I think what you’re doing is wonderful. I will mourn my miscarriage forever, especially since it was my only pregnancy.

- S. L.

It is for stories like these and many others that this memorial project was begun.
